And this is not casual. In the description of the Pilates system, I said that after the World War I, Joseph Pilates went to America. There, with his wife Clara, he opened his own studio. The studio was in the building of the New York Ballet Center. And the first clients of this studio were ballet dancers, including Martha Graham and George Balanchine. Joseph Pilates has developed a special system for ballet dancers. But still, it was not a Body Ballet, it was Contrology considering the needs and characteristics of dancers. But I believe that the beginning was laid precisely here.
Body Ballet or Barre is a combination of the foundations of classical choreography, Yoga and Pilates. This system was invented by the German ballerina Lotte Burke. In an attempt to recover from her own trauma, she decided to combine rehabilitation therapy with dancing elements.However, it is important to note, with all its external similarities, Body-Ballet and ballet (classical choreography) are completely different disciplines. Body-Ballet is adapted to the physiological peculiarities of a person and has no age restrictions.The main task of the Body-Ballet is to make the body strong and flexible, to help develop the willpower, perseverance, determination, and therefore self-confidence. All movements are not only semantic, but also aesthetic. Always accompanied by beautiful music.I can say that in my work experience in fitness centers, it has always been my most visited class. Attending a Body-Ballet class, one will definitely experience emotions, everyone different ones, but no one will stay indifferent.
